Macrina · Apartamento Manchego

Discover Villarta de San Juan, starting at the square.

A practical guide to your stay at Macrina: a walk around town, somewhere to eat and the details worth checking before you arrive.

Explore from Plaza de la Paz

Start at the square and clock tower, continue towards Santa María la Mayor church and leave time for the old bridge over the Cigüela. The town council includes these places in its heritage guide.

Our suggestion is simple: enjoy breakfast, choose one or two places and leave time to return to the square. The apartment homepage links to routes so you can check the journey from your location. Check opening times before planning an indoor visit; seeing the exterior does not mean the building is open.

Our food guide includes Churrería Muñoz, Petrus, El Palomar, Rosita, Los Tarays and Cafetería Bar Román. Check opening hours and the day’s food service before going: the list is not a live indication that a venue is open.

A stop on your journey along the A-4

If you are looking for accommodation in Villarta de San Juan to break up your journey, plan your arrival time before booking. Macrina provides the whole apartment, a kitchen and Wi-Fi so you can rest in your own space.

Free street parking is available nearby, subject to availability. There is no reserved private space. Check signs and temporary restrictions when you arrive, especially during local celebrations.

The apartment is on the second floor without a lift. Keep this in mind when packing and if anyone in your group needs step-free access.

Choose between quiet time and festival atmosphere

Las Paces takes place in January. If you are visiting for this celebration, check the current municipal programme and available accommodation in advance. The centre can be lively, with music and fireworks: worth knowing if you are looking for quiet surroundings.

In summer, the municipal grounds and park offer another place to spend time. The pool, seasonal bar and outdoor auditorium performances depend on summer opening dates and the programme. They are not apartment facilities.
